Meet Your Instructor

Julie Hadaway has spent most of her professional career in higher education, starting at International Business College and most notably teaching in the Lou Holtz Master of Science and Organizational Leadership program at Trine University. She has also developed and facilitated leadership, business, and communication courses for Trine’s School of Professional Studies, Ivy Tech Community College, and FWCS’s Early College Program at Wayne High School. In harmony with her experience in education, Julie also built a successful training department from the ground up as the Director of Training & Development for a thriving financial institution.

She received her Bachelor’s in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication from Purdue University and her Master’s in Strategic Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Julie is currently facilitating and scheduling seminars, workshops, and strategic partnerships designed to strengthen the vitality of organizations by elevating leadership, refining communication, and enhancing reputation. Each engagement is built to transform how people show up for one another and for those they serve, aligning intention with experience to create lasting impact. Julie remains committed to elevating human behavior by bringing purpose to performance.

Julie has a passion to revolutionize what it means to live a life of purpose and meaning - not just in our personal endeavors, but in our professional careers as well. She has spent years refining her knowledge of Intentional Interactions and authentic relationship building while sharing these principles with a myriad of diverse audiences.

“I want to be the small difference that allows and encourages others to make large differences in our world.”

Her personal and professional experiences have offered a unique insight into the development of the most honorable form of human connection, known as The Noble Rule. She is determined to share her concept so that it may spread like wildfire in organizations across the country! These lessons will not only impact companies and their employees, but also the communities that they serve.

the Founder

I love people! I envision a world where we are all excited to wake up and go about our personal and professional lives because we have found purpose in who we are, what we do, and most importantly, WHY we do it. This is why I stepped away from my career in education and corporate training to build Legacy University, so I could reach more people with a message I believe matters. This matters to me deeply. Every interaction creates a ripple. One smile, one kind word, one moment of real care can shift someone’s entire day and, in turn, change how they show up for the next person. This is what I believe with my entire heart.

I chose the hourglass to represent Legacy University because I believe time is our most valuable asset. It is also the blessing we take most for granted and the only currency we spend without ever knowing our balance. The sand in the bottom of the glass represents the life we have lived so far. It encompasses our experiences, our influences, our setbacks, and our victories. The top of the hourglass represents the time we have left, and it is my hope and my passion to teach others how to use that time wisely.

The drive behind Legacy University is to bring to life the untapped potential in each of us so that we may intentionally live our purpose and create better lives for those around us! Because in the end, it’s not just about what we accomplish, it’s about how we make people feel along the way. Our real power is about choosing, moment by moment, to show up in a way that leaves others better than we found them.
